Welcome to our world

Arts & Parts

The concept of ‘skin in the game’ was introduced to me by a wise person who sees things that I do not see, and this was in my mind when I created Arts & Parts in 2018. The idea was to have a platform to work with peers that I admire – artists, thinkers, technicians, organisers and organisations – and enable adventurous interdisciplinary creative projects.

I envisage that there will be no genre or geographic boundaries to the work created by the artists and produced under the banner of Arts & Parts.  We are seeking to develop practices and performances which blur the edges between genres and make the artists and their work accessible to a diverse range of audiences.

In 2019 Arts & Parts produced creative projects in gardens, churches and church yards, jazz clubs, concert halls and in a former sanitorium in the Polish countryside. In 2020, this palette will be expanded to include art galleries and online spaces.  In the coming years, we will continue to respond to the places and spaces that inspire artists to create and to the shifting needs and desires of audiences in an ever-changing world.

This section of the website will offer thoughts and reflections that stimulate, influence or respond to the work that Arts & Parts produces, and we plan to populate it with contributions from practitioners and thinkers from around the globe.
